Front Bumper Finish Protection

I am new here and I appreciate the help I got for the transmission fluid change tips.
I have a burgundy Mazda 6 that I swore did not have any chips in the front when I bought it. When doing the Spring wax job, I found numerous chips. I did have a guy do touch up on those, but not the greatest job (certainly not an $85 job ). The best price on a clear bra is $600 JUST to do the bumper.
I was going to do a DIY spray on clear bra, but am finding it difficult to mask off. I considered taking the grill inserts out, but it looks like a difficult job. I was considering painting with PlastiDip but would like to keep the nice looking finish. I could do black, but it would dry to a flat finish.
Any suggestions? Is there a brush on clear bra?
