I wanted to get the opinion of everyone here.....after I get the lowering springs I'm going to order the ETS TMIC....My ? is...they have an option for a black painted TMIC....would there be any positives or negatives of that....I know back in the day muscle cars used to paint their block black.... :368a3915:

Black as a color absorbs more light and thus retains more heat. However, your TMIC won't be exposed to light very much. Only thing it would do is make it easier to clean.....and aren't we talking just the endtanks?

I believe the whole IC is painted plack, but I have seen others with the IC natural finish, and then the shroud seal is black. As far as benefits, there is none... Id say go with polished, it looks so much better

I'll probably go with the basic satin finish....It's not visible and I just thought it would look good with the whole blacked out theme...Plus it's an extra $60 I think for polished or black....
I'll email ETS and see if there has been any issues with the gloss black finish....

no offense to those who have the natural finish (is that the same as satin?) but I think they look worse than the stock... But if you have the cp-e cai, its a nice match...

I really like the thought of the gloss black.....and if there are no draw backs to it I want it....it goes better with the whole theme...

Polished would look best, but that's alot of $ just for some engine bling.
