Japan Tranny Vs. American Tranny

I was Wandering if anyone knew if the trannys from Japan are better than the trannys From here . The reason Is I have a ATX tranny from japan And I want to change to a MTX but I want to know if the one from japan is better than the one from here in MTX i know that the tranny is better from there in the ATX form so if any one could help out that would be great. O its for a mazda 626 klze

its okay i have done a 5spd swap so i no longer need this
