i want to increase boost but i'm not sure what the engines can handle...
-Thanks

for the f2t, i pushed 22 psi on a holset hy35, made over 300whp. i dyno'd 298whp on 18psi on a to4b s trim.........both times however, the headgasket blew. the pistons and rods are stout. the compression is very low on the motor (7.6:1) a guy on mx6.com made 350whp on 27psi with a to4e 50 trim, pump gas and meth injection
anyways, if you have the stock turbo, anything past 12psi is not efficient and just puts more stress on the turbo than it is worth.....most boost gauges at this altitude will read a bit off.....mine was showing about 15psi when it was really more like 12, i ran a 15.3 on the stock turbo like 5 years ago
best time at bandimere on the stock turbo and street tires was a 14.9 by ethan

Thanks, but i heard that the OEM ECU max pressure is somewhere around 12 psi and after that the it sputters because of the fuel.. So you need bigger injectors or another fuel pressure regualtor. Is this true?
But i have another turbo for the car i just need it rebuilt, i have no idea how to do it...
But thanks that answers alot for me.

the ecu will cut fuel based on load.....not psi. depending on what the sensors tell the ecu, it could cut at 10psi, it could be 15. BUT more than likely, you wont hit it boost cut at this altitude very often. maybe on a very cold day in 3-5th gear. even if you do hit boost cut, you could just buy a probinator chip to get around it. the stock fuel system is good for about 250 horsepower, so no worries there, you wont be making more than ~190whp with the stock turbo
