Hmm. Not sure about the car not shutting off. That's weird. Not starting might be a battery problem... Any mods of the car or stock?

Just from what I was reading, but nothing that you probably haven't already come across. Things you could do:
Call the place you bought it from.
Check the ignition relay
Possibly have the battery checked out at autozone to see if it's healthy.
Battery negative ground wires.

Sorry to hear about the new car.

It's not battery. If it was the battery no light would turn on at all.

I'm thinking it could be a ign. coil or something. He disable the battery a few times.. and then the car started. However when the key was out.. it was *still* running... I followed them home... but It's weird. What could cause this?

By the way, Mike.. You have a headlight out (left side) as well as the parking light. Get it fixed. Cops here in the springs SUCK when it comes to broken headlights. I ran my 3 with it like so, with the high-beams on for 2.5 months. .. lol.

Mike,
Keep a tab of everything that goes wrong and everything you do to replace it;
-part
-price
-date

Just want to cover your bases in case you ever need to take it up with the dealer.

I bet it is most likely the ignition. It could also be the alternator.
