MAZDA 3i CAMBER

So in california i have a tire/suspension shop that im extremely friendly with and i was talking to the suspension guy who ever time i would bring my car in he wanted to lower it. But we got to talking about why my back tires were wearing so weird only on the inside of the tire. when we stepped back from the car and look at the back wheels we noticed that the camber on the back tires were at least 2 degrees out of wack. i was just wondering if anyone else has this problem with their car. he told me he could fix it with adjustable camber arms but those are 300 dollars and i dont really have that kinda cash floating around.

a 4 wheel alignment wouldn't correct this? just wondering?

no because the camber rods in the rear are not adjustable

When i dropped my old 3 on the Pro-Kit i had negative rear camber, but never corrected it because negative camber is not necessarily bad. Negative camber only accelerates the wear on the tires, but at the same time it provides more rear grip. What are you dropped on? And yeah the rear camber links on the 3's are non adjustable, they are made for the stock ride height ect.

I have inside wear on my rears. Don't know why mazda marked them in the green when half the tire is bald?

Like Andrew stated, negative camber is not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm gonna be getting these tires in the next month or so... a GREAT Tuner tire especially for vehicles lowered and with some camber. I've had these before on 2 previous lowered vehicle. Grip is killer!

The best part about tires wearing out is replacing them with new tires. You should welcome your increased negative camber. If you'd like, you can help even out the wear on the outside shoulder by taking corners really fast.

hahah yeah really. but no my car isnt dropped. and if it was dropped the camber would be even worse. its jsut weird that the factory comes with negative camber i know its not necessarily bad but its not optimal.

Wait... your not dropped yet you have substantial negative camber in the rear? Negative camber from the factory is little to non... something isn’t right if your stock suspension is inducing that much camber.

Do 3's have a torsion beam rear suspension, Macpherson struts or some type of proper suspension like dishwish bone or something else?

yeah the guy at the tire shop said and i mean i looked too and its bad, he said there was enough negative camber to provoke abnormal tire wear on my rear tires.
