My plan is to cut the aftermarket Pedders springs and keep the stock ones just in case....:D

well if your truely not happy with how the after market springs are,, then ya.. cut them.. Atleast you will have your factory springs to put back on when you sell the car.

That's what I plan on doing....:) I understand that everyone says that it's not a good idea....but I have the stock springs and I can always replace the aftermarket set....So here's to hopefully not throwing a few hundred $$ down the drain....:279129bf:

I would just suggest that you take the time to do it right and make sure you cut the same amount on each spring.. Its best to get it right and go slow then to F something up in your other components of your suspension..

how much did those springs cost you? Is it the only springs on the market?

There are some Vogtland springs that are supposed to lower 1.6". How much of a drop are you looking for? Very few springs go more than that. I think the Eibach sportlines on some cars can give a 2" drop, but generally to go lower than 1.5-1.6" you need coilovers.

The Vogtlands drop are about the same as the Pedders...between 1.25"-1.4" after they settle...I'm wanting a 1.75"+ drop...There is not an Eibach kit out yet for the CX-7....Most springs on the market for my car are about a 30mm to 40mm drop....

This site says they are 1.6" (40mm). But vendors don't always provide correct info for their products.

We'll see...There is a guy on a CX-7 forum that bought some of these...but hasn't really said what the drop is....or how it looks...

If cutting them doesn't work out....then I have a few options at least.....I just wish BC would come out with the Coilover kit already....That would solve the problem...:)
