Decision Time On My Springs!

Technical Discussion about suspension and brakes

I decided to bite the bullet and get the MS Springs/Shocks combo (not the adjustable coilovers). I figure for as much as I'll actually be tracking the car, coilovers would be overkill. This combo is significantly cheaper, too. Plus, I can spread out the purchase a bit rather than one big ouch to the wallet. Haha. That said, I'm off to order the springs!

Where are you ordering them from. Mazdatrix was selling them for just over a $400.00 a set of 4.

You must not own a house :) If I wasn't spending all this money for my house I would put it towards the car too.

Montgomery Mazda: $244 for the set. The shocks are $390.

Renting is almost as bad, since every time we move, the girl decides the furniture doesn't match the house and we buy new stuff. Craigslist, here I come!

Yup, I saw Mazdatrix had the springs for $277, and their shocks are ~$110 each.

Moved into a new house, but renting for now.

No biggie. I've been digging around for a while on what I was looking for. This option seems reasonably priced.

And, before I could change my mind for the 1,324th time, I finally bit the bullet and ordered. Yeah! I think the last time I did suspension work, I was putting something higher in the air (my old '69 Bronco). I'm stockpiling stuff now...MS suspension, stainless steel lines I've had since the end of October.

Anyway, after these get installed my suspension will be:

Racing Beat F/R sways and endlinks
MS Strut Tower Bars F/R
MS Springs and Shocks

The only thing left will be the most expensive, wheels/tires and I haven't come close to deciding on those yet.

It'll be a little bit before they get installed. And I'll eventually have a plow, the MS front end. Hehe.

Wheels are a tough decision to make. I was all over the place before I bought my summer wheels- bronze, gun metal, black, silver..... And that was just on the color side of it. The only part that was easy for me was my 17" choice.

And then there's the tires...... oh boy!
