So I decided to upgrade my tires for the winter season since I didn't trust the OEM's.
I purchased some continental ContiExtremeContact tires in the oem size and had them
installed professionally.

Right after the install I noticed the car was pulling to the right.
The right set of tires were rotated, still pulled to the right.
Had the car aligned (keep in mind the car was in spec BEFORE the alignment) and it still pulls to the right.
They then rotated the left set of tires, still pulls....wtf!?!

Any thoughts as to what this might be? I only have 6200 miles on the car there are
about 200 miles on these new tires... the pulling happens when I coast on various roads
it is not torque steer.

So it's not road condition related? My Pirelli P-Zero's make me wobble from side to side on grooved pavement.

nope....I think it is the tires, but trying to convince the DT of that is becoming difficult. I don't recall this happening
with my oem tires...

Ok, here's a real stupid one from me to you...

Are they directional, and 1 side is mounted with curb side inward?

You got them at Discount Tire right? What size are the tires also? If it the "pull" becomes too much, take them back for a refund or trade of something else.

they are the oem size 215-50-17, I have been working with DT on this for a few weeks now, and will see what they say, just trying to see if anyone else
has any insight.

Ok....my dumb two cents. Tire pressure can cause a pull (if the fronts are uneven of course).
Have you tried swapping the front two. If it pulls the other way...it's the tire for sure.
...what am I helping you for anyway....you hexed my SharkFin...lol.

So it still pulls to the right even on decelleration? And you've verified that each tire IS the same size all the way around?

This is a head scratcher man.

it goes to the right when I coast(no hands or gas)....I will check the tire sizes...hoping the tire pressue will correct this.

Do you have a set of wheels with some rubber on them you can swap out, just to make sure? I had a winter set on a previous car that was all over the place on grooved pavement.

Strange. Not much input from me, other than I hope you get this figured out. My 6 pulled to the right when I bought it, and they aligned/replaced the worn Michelins for me. Still pulled to the right. Rotated tires, and it pulled. Checked air pressure, etc. When I finally swapped on the Speed6 wheels. Poof! No more pulling. Granted, I did have a bent wheel, but that caused more of a vibration.

I don't think you are lonely anymore...there are more friends....you say your car always pulled to the right? I don't want to upgrade th 18" to see if that
is the issue. I am hoping it is just air pressure...but that was supposed to be the first thing they checked....?

we are entertaining the idea of trying different tires to see if there is a difference..
