HWY 93 to where? My mom live up 72 and 93. 93 is fun to go realy fast on LOL.[/b]

I live in Lakewood, and work at CU-Boulder. Yeah... 93 is very very tempting to go fast, and I cannot resist temptation well! haha! :311eb074: It's my paradise!

I am liking the Sumitomo HTR's ... not only the price, but they seem to be getting pretty good reviews. Plus- that way I can get snow tires in a few months.[/b]

Exactly. You'll love them ;-)

Quick wearing, wet traction wasn't very good, loud.

This is not a tire you can push any performance out of. On a heavier car driven on hot pavement, there is some hope of adequate tire adhesion.
My second series MR2 below the minimum weight vehicle for a tire this hard. Previous reviews and manufacturer claims fooled me into thinking this tire would work in all seasons. Snow traction is bad, wet traction is scary and dry traction is not very communicative. It will let go on you without much warning. This is primarily due to the light weight and near 50-50 weight balance on a mid engined car. As far as mileage, these wear like iron. They also track well in worn, rutted asphalt and look great when at a standstill.
The price is extremely good, so make your purchase decision knowing that you will need to drive like your grandparents to get the most out of these tires.

These tires after 6500 miles have "bumps" on them causing the steering wheel to shake. Total J-U-N-K.

Initial Review, 2,000 Miles on Tires
April 05, 2008

The tires seem to lose grip in slide easily in moderate to hard cornering maneuvers. I definitely think my Mini Cooper S under steers more with this set of tires, even though they are wider than the stock tires I replaced. The ride is much better than the stock run flat tires I replaced.

Again.

Initial Review, 7,500 Miles on Tires
April 04, 2008

I love almost all Kumhos (we have on 2 of our 3 vehicles)...but I don't love the ASTs...Noise from day 1 and even with rotating at 3,000 miles, they are down to 5/32" at 7,500 miles - and this is with a perfectly aligned 2006 Rabbit...Handling is solid with the ASTs and rolling resistance seems good, but the wear and noise are simply too high, even for a low priced tire. Going to try the Conti ExtremeContacts for next fall/winter.

Yup, again..

i have 205/50-15 with just a bit of negative camber in the front for a little more handling and i expected that to wear tires faster than normal but 5100 miles. The back had lasted 6000 but they are now on the front and the "slicks" are on the back

will say that i bought this tire on a whem... tires wore much faster than anticipated. would not buy them again if i didnt have to buy two more to match the two i have left. i loved the tire at first and then i realized how fast they wear. WOW !!! if you are looking for mileage this is definately not the tire for you! hydroplaning is guaranteed from about 1/2 tread depth on. good luck of you are purchasing these.

Tires wear very quickly. By the time I parked the car for the winter all four tires were bald with only 4500 miles on them. I expected alot more mileage out of them. Will not buy again.

i only have about 3,000 miles on a set and the fronts are just about completely bald before i have had a chance to rotate them. i would expect more mileage than that from a street tire even a softer performance tire. any more than a couple inches of snow and you have to slow to a crawl to get any traction

Initially these tires performed well. Unfortunately, after about 5,000 miles and the first rotation, they began to get noisy. Right now, even with a lot of tread left, the noise is approaching an intolerable level. I am looking forward to their demise so I can get rid of them and go back to the Potenzas I had before.

Yeah it really does suck. I am still trying to figure out if I should just get summer tires now and then in november buy winter tires. Or to just stick with the Pirelli All season tires. .............
