trying to see if these wheels will fit my p5 they are Enkei 16" alloy wheels that have a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern Image

What does 4.5" convert to in mm? 114.3? If so, they should probably fit. But the P5 can quickly run into tire rubbing issues in the rear depending on the offset.

It all depends on offset. Generally though, any wheel designed for a front wheel drive car (not wide, high offset) will work. Those have a 55mm offset so I'd say those will do fine on your car. Wouldn't go any lower than like 35-40 offset on a 7" rim, for your car, unless you want to roll / hammer fenders.

Those aren't 17" Protege wheels. The only 17" Protege wheels are the Racing Hart wheels offered on the MP3 and MSP.

They look like the same 16" wheels that my Protege came with, but they could be a 17" wheel off a different model of Mazda. It isn't the best pic, so it's hard to tell.
