Ordered new tires

Postby RX-7 Chris » Wed Feb 17, 2010 9:14

I ordered some new tires from my car through Discount Tire.

Sumitomo HTR 200 205/60R13 rated 87H

They are performance summer tires and I will be having them put on Friday. It should be fun driving through the rest of winter with summer tires but I have gone through most of it with almost bald all seasons, LOL.

When I went in to tell the guy what I wanted he said I don't think they make tires in that size. Than he looked it up and said oo I guess they do make that size.

Summer tires on my 8 were bricks. We all know what torque monsters those are and I could spin 'em anywhere. Almost looped the thing get on an on ramp a little too rambunctiously.

Congrats on the new tires! (I almost said congrats on the new rubber, but then 6i woulda made some lame joke about it.)

Update on the tires.

They are great tires, I love them. They are as good as my allseasons were in the snow and amazing on dry pavement. It doesn't drive like the same car.

I loved every set of Sumi's I tried. I went through the HTR Z II's the III's and the HTR +'s. I have yet to find a tire near them for the price. Even much more expensive tires weren't nearly as good.

Glad you're digging them!
