I'm curious, with this nice weather that we are seeing, are any of you tempted to take off the snows yet?
When do you normally take them off? Would a person be crazy to take off the snows this weekend?
Take off Snows?
I would wait until the Sunday-Monday storm passes. That one could be significant, or could be NOTHING. After that, just have the snows ready to put on for our annual March-April blizzard.

I have left snows on until May before. We've gotten several inches on my birthday (May 10) in the past. My snows are performance snows so they are decent on dry roads so I don't mind having them on. I'm too lazy to swap them back and forth several times between now and summer.

Statistically speaking, March is Denver's "snowiest" month. That being said, I wouldn't expect anything biblical that won't be melted off in a day or 3.
And plus... if you can't successfully navigate snowy Colorado roadways on standard all-seasons or even Summer tires, you probably should be behind the wheel anyway.

The weekend after tax day is my typical target. Despite having two sets of wheels, I'm lazy. And halloween for the reverse.

It'll be late April for me for sure. Sure you can navigate snowy Colorado roads with summers (that have decent amounts of tread left- if they're nearly worn, forget about it!) but why should you if you have snow tires?

As much as it seems like spring, I'd keep them on. Take a look at what I narrowly got caught up in last year at the end of March. I swear, if I didn't have my snow tires on I would have been between the blue Jeep and the front of the Durango. I swear by snow tires now.
BTW...this was on I-76 right before 74th.
