Who did you buy your kit from? If should have come as plug & play, by just using your stock wiring. I know some kits come with a battery harness, but I never felt the need to use one. Shoot me a link to the kit you bought. And where on "earth" ;) are you located. If I can't walk you though it, and you're close enough, I'll do it for you.

I bought the DDM Slimline kit from here: http://www.therpmstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=38&osCsid=asj25nkf50def3m27lhkmp9s75

Kit = 6000k 55-watt H1

Stock = 4300k 35-watt H1

Kit came with no instructions. Is the blue wire the power? Black is the switch?

Looking at the back of the stock HID kit here.

Edit: Also, I tried to splice into what I thought was the 194 parking light "switch", and now my parking lights won't work. Blown fuse? I didn't get a manual with this car, so I don't know which fuses to check for that.

I got the exact one that Tbot posted above.

Craaap. So it looks like I'll need to return this kit and get the d2s bulbs right?

Did you car come stock with HID's? I ask because in your picture, it looks like you have D2s bulbs inside your housing Image . I believe the Halogen bulb for your car is an H1. But if you indeed have a d2s bulb in your housing, then you need the adapter like the one I posted. Once you get that you should be good to go, PnP (it will plug into the kit tbot posted) Image. That is of course if your bulb is d2s.

Yep exactly. I just re ordered the kit now with the d2s bulbs. When I originally made the purchase, I looked up the bulb type on mazdaonlineparts.com for my speed6 and it said H1 so thats what I purchased.

I was getting so frustrated because there was no way to mount the H1 bulbs in the housing.. little did I know I was trying to fit a round object in a square hole so to speak. Thank you guys, you have no idea how much frustration you are saving me.

Another question. If your car came with stock HIDS (d2s bulbs) why are you buying a kit?

The stock HID's suck balls is why! I want/need brighter bulbs. They literally have a dry cut line where they stop at and its pitch black after that.

I can see new bulbs possibly helping, but if you got a 35w kit, I don't know that it's going to be any brighter than what your OEM ballast is supplying. And if you bought a d2s bulb above 4300k, you'll be losing lumen. Did you get the 55w kit by chance?

Sorry for the cell phone quality here, but I finished. Everything color matched to the 6000k HID's.
