If anyone needs help with HID's, DDE's, Fogs, or other exterior lighting projects, let me know. I've baked my headlights open more times than I'd like to count.

Probably my favorite mod:

I noticed in your other thread "my old mazda 3" that you had done these to your car.. I was gonng give you props for doing it right and doing a retro instead of just a plug and play kit... When I owned my Mazda6 I had just the plug and play kit that most people just do out of lazyness and convenice.. I had wanted to do a retro fit but never wanted to spend the money to do it.. I have since then sold my Mazda6 and I own a 07 Nissan Pathfinder and I finally broke down and did a retro fit in that with some FX35 Projects and man let me tell you, Its like day and night in the difference of out put and how much it puts the light on the road and not all over the place.. So Im glad that your offering your help to others about this and hopefully it can help others learn that they should do it the RIGHT way and do retrofit and not the lazy way of a plug and play kit..

im gonna need to bake my headlights to do angels, black out the chrome, either clear or smoke the reflector, and change the lens out for a clear one. i live in the barracks, and if i asked someone to use their oven to bake car parks they might think im weird. so my question is it much harder to use a heat gun to open/seal them?

"Much" harder?!? I don't think it's easier, but that's my opinion. I find it easier to do the whole unit at once, which makes things more simple. I'm sure someone from the boards can lend you some oven time, I've got one myself.

Did you throw in the TSX lens or another clear lense?

TRS has made it pretty easy to aquire a clear lens, so if anyone is up for the swap, let me know. And DDE's make the front end shine!!!

Once again, especially for the MZ3 guys: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=150 The difference is as almost as nice as the change from Halogen to HID. And if you don't have a ballast I've got a couple sets left over from my MZ3.

Anything we can do to help out my fogs? They're a bit anemic now that I have the HID headlights in... pretty much useless actually.

A bulb swap is the easiest. Next would be HID fogs (though in a reflector based housing, which causes glare, but lots of people do it anyway). And last is a fog retro with projectors. Though that last one is VERY time consuming. I can go over the pros and cons to each at Sonic this Friday.

Sweet... I was contemplating doing an HID kit in there but I'm not sure if that would be overkill. Plus, without diffusers I may blind people. I have some damage to the front left fog (cracked, previous owner hit something) and so I'm thinking that maybe just getting rid of the fogs all together would be a better idea. I know that there are inserts available for those that want to do this but I'm not sure if it would be the best idea.

I need your help! I have been trying to install my HID's for 3 days now and its driving me insane. I have the wiring ready to go, I just can't find a switch to tap into and I'm about ready to loose it and start breaking shit. At this point I'd pay for someone to come help me.

Eric you should be taping into your factory headlight harness... Did you get a wiring harness for your HID kit? the one that connects straight to your battery?
