What would it take to modify a 6 body kit to a speed 6?

Postby JZSpeed6 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 9:14

I have been looking at the b magic aero kit for the 6 but want to put it onto my speed 6. As all of you speed6 owners know, there are not a lot of options for us regarding body mods.
I can't seem to get an answer from the companies that sell the body kits regarding how they fit, or don't fit, on a speed 6.

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks
Jason

Does that body kit replace the front and rear facias or just add to the bottom of them?

The speed 6 body kit will fit, but will require a lot of work.

Dug up a thread on 6club where this guy did it to his wagon for ya:

I think he's talking about an aftermarket body kit designed for the MS6, and putting it on a M6.

Yes. I have a speed 6 but want to replace the front and rear bumpers as well as the side skirts. I didn't know if the bumpers would fit at all. I would need to modify the kit a bit to fit in the fog lights etc, but don't want to order the thing if the kit is not going to be able to be modified.
This is the kit that I would like to fit to my speed 6

If that kit is designed for the non-Speed 6, then I think it will likely that you'll have the same issues as the person trying to convert from M6 to MS6 front components. The bumper won't line up, so you'll need to change fenders and hood, maybe even radiator support and bumper support.

a good body fab guy, and some fiber glass glass.

thats what it will take to make a MZ6 (not M6..its not a $100k sports car) body kit fit an MS6.
