My daughter has an 03 Eclipse with Limo tint which was cool then but now actually seeing other traffic has become a more important point. Can this be removed DIY or is this a OCD/Pro type project??? I have seen horrible examples of people trying to put their own on, but have not heard much about removing it later.

Thanks !!!

I did it on my brother cars about 6 months ago. I just used a razor blade scrapper type thing and some windex. It was a pain in the ass and took a few hours but all said and done it worked out. There may be easier ways to do it also.

Thanks... However that made me think- the rear glass has a defogger.... Even if it's a pain it is worth avoiding an accident. I bought the thing but do not remember sitting in it at night (after she got the tint) till this evening. I would be hesitant to drive it. The visibility in that car sucks anyway, now cover up the glass and geeze.......

a scraper to the rear window is an expensive mistake, about 4-5 times the cost of having a professional do it. The rollups can be removed with a razor, but be forwarned, if the blade is not #9 stainless, the glass will scratch all to shit..

I would definitly listen to that advise.
By the way Eric thanks for doing my tint, it looks amazing.

Not sure what a #9 blade is, but I used a plain old razor blade and some Sprayway glass cleaner to remove some tint. No scratches in the glass. I didn't do the back window, but here's one way:
