I'm going to one other shop my insurance company recommended this afternoon to see what they say about it.

If the appraiser from their insurance came out why do you need quotes for the insurance then? Every time I've had an accident and an appraiser came out that was it. If there was more work that was required to be done the body shop called the adjuster/appraiser to come out and take a look and they would cut a second check straight to the shop.

But every time the adjuster would come I'd get a call that they were on their way and I'd go outside and show them all the damage.

I don't trust this company to not screw me over. That's how I feel about it. He never told me he was here, he only called me when he was finished.

I can't find a Speed3 bumper for less than $350 and with freight I can't afford it. Even Ebay has let me down. The site Jimmy suggested doesn't even have the right bumper.

It's not the right bumper. Did you call Crushers. Perhaps the the site is only showing a pic of the regualr 3 bumper but it actually is a speed bumper.

Maybe Certifit? They have a store/warehouse here in-state. Not sure what the fit quiality would be but they supply the body shops with parts. Page 196 is where the Mazda 3 stuff starts. http://www.certifit.com/images/catalogs/CO.pdf they have rear bumper covers listed only for 04-06 Sedan model. Wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

I called Certafit and they don't have it. I know mazdapartsonline has one for $350. We will see what I get from the insurance company and go from there I suppose.

Update: I am ready to choke a ho.

The guy is disputing what happened and saying "I backed into him" when there are CLEAR scrape marks going horizontally suggesting there was movement side to side. Considering my vehicle cannot move side to side without an act of God, he had to have been moving when he hit me.

I hate people...

It was in a parking lot, I didn't think I needed witness statements because he got out of his vehicle and said "I'm sorry, I didn't see you." They said it was my responsibility to see him, so I am at fault.

I would try contacting your insurance company...I am by no means an expert when it comes to dealing with insurance companies but hopefully your insurance agent could deal with this guys insurance and work something out.

My insurance company is taking his to arbitration to get money back for covering my damages. Until then, I have to cover the cost of repair myself.

Parking lots are really tricky. I was in a similar case as yours a few years ago when an old lady backed right up into me. It took a bit of fighting, but justice was served. I hope you win in your case.

For next time, try to snap a few shots with your camera to help your story.
