I am not a dummy, but why won't my crappy Blose system play MP3's? I know it has the ability to. I have tried burning MP3's in different formats, ISO, etc.

The player will recognize the disc and play it as if it has only 1 track, but with zero sound.

TIA-

I don't have the headunit that can read MP3s. I'd say it's probably a format issue....you may need to use folders or a specific naming convention for the files. Check your user manual, it should all be in that.

That's what's killeing me, the manual states that the head unit can play MP3, .wav, etc. but it won't. I have tried every format. F' it, I am getting this "system" out soon so I will deal with CD's until then. Funny, we look at CD's now like they are 8-tracks ;-/

Thanks Rich.

most MAzda radio's do not play MP3's. Only if you have an MP3 Icon on the radio itself will it play them.

That's also annoying. The manual states it can, but the logo isn't on the HU. I assumed it wouldn't play them, but the manual....

I guess it won't.

Ah well there's your answer. My manual has instructions for both headunits, but I don't have the MP3 headunit. As you don't have the logo on your headunit, it shouldn't be able to play them at all. I just went with the AudioLink MP3 USB adapter from http://www.therpmstore.com

Sorry bro :/

Thank you much. What is your address? I might stop over today and see "the goods". Any chance you carry Hi-Fonics? I'm a big fan of their Atlas, and Zeus ;-)

I know they went out of business way back, but I was told they a back?

Fortunately mine came with an ipod connection under my armrest. I'm certainly not that impressed with the Bose system in the car, expected more. Also, where the hell is the '7th' speaker they speak of? Fook...I see more upgrades coming...

I think you super awesome system's bass is under the passenger seat? the fact you are unable to locate your low end doesn't speak much of the system. I think it's just
fine, but I am not an audiophile. ;)

I have the system from my old 3, couple Kicker 12's but I just don't want to shake my car apart. I'd really like it to be really acoustic with a little less bass than before so I can utilize my 'trunk' area with...a bicycle, or a couple blondes.
