I had another can of duplicolor high heat brush-on paint that I used on my brothers calipers so I just used that. I did the reverse on his car though I just masked off the rotor and used spray paint. Same effect
Sorry but Im kinda thread jacking here.. but Eric,, what paint did you use to paint your brake rotors black? Im redoing my calipers this weekend and I wanna pant the rotors to cause their looking a lil rusty looking..[/b]

yeah i did this to mine but i did mine black back in October and its still just as nice as when i did it. Holds up way better then the factory stuff i wax mine every few months and like tim said as long as you take your time and sand it good you shouldn't have any problems
that looks really nice kinda makes me want to do tit gray hehe but i will stay with black we cant all have the same looking cars
Not what I imagined when you said you painted the center console. But it looks good. Hopefully it holds up better than the factory finish.[/b]

Wetsanding, I just used the standard wet/dry 2000 grit you can find at any hardware/auto parts store. Soak the sheet for a few minutes before sanding, and keep dunking it in water as you move along. I wasn't as aggressive when I did the rear side pieces initially. I did a much better job on the larger front piece, and when that came out well, I decided I needed to do some more sanding on the rears. After that, go to some polishing compound for a few passes.
Thanks for the kind words all. I was a little nervous about doing it, til I decided it was just paint.
Damn it turned out perfect! If I didn't know any better I would think it came like that wow very professional
Care to give some wetsanding pointers to me? What kind of sandpaper? Where did you find it?[/b]

Does anyone remember what the list of tools needed for repainting trim or emblems list is? I remember someone saying something about a certin kind of sandpaper and other stuff. Help please?
