Ya I was looking at the options out there again. They are pricy but seem worth it. I'll throw it in the air for a christmas present. If no one gets it for me I'll start saving. I'm in no rush yet.

Don't foget K40, they make thr RD850 which has a little more range than the escort 8500, I know because I have both. maybe i should just point one out the back window and that will work just like the V1. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

I love my V1, but I'm seeing more and more laser guns out there now. I try to not speed on curves or over hills anymore, as that's where they tend to sit with laser. Hell, I've seen a cop using laser on I-225 South. He was easy to spot though, sitting on a straight line with traffic.

WOW... To both the price and the front and rear mount sensors. Wish I had the money.

Laser shifting? Not sure exactly how effective that is, despite their 94% claim. After browsing cop forums, it seems nothing is getting by laser these days.

It is alot more effective then they let on. Any forum like that is going state that they don't work because they don't want you to have it. I run one on my car and I have a customer that swears by the shifter and how well it works and the number of tickets it has saved him.

You know I heard this too when I was at Ultimate installing, I will get the info I saw on this ruling a while back, but they are not illegal in the State of Colorado. I will have to do some digging to find the info again but I will post it whne I find it.

Ok, Finally had a chance to research this and get time to post my findings.

The Law states that a device cannot interfere, disrupt or scrammble signal. such as jammers and defusers (like K-40's system) a shitfer on the other hand does not interupt the incoming signal it simply reads the incoming signal and sends a mirror image of the signal back to the laser gun causing the gun to show an error.

The effect is similar to taking to subs and wiring them out of phase you loose the bass that your hear because they are canceling each other out.

Thought this might help clear thing bup a bit.

This is a video of the Escort 9500i testing its GPS feature with a known false alarm and an actual radar threat in the same area. Not good news for 9500i owners.
