When I had my kit installed,, the temp would often be messed up and never fully read right.. I mean, I know that some days were hot.. but they werent 114F hot..

And as far as the steering wheel controls go.. you can go with the PAC-SWIX kit.. its universal and uses IR for its functions.. Some of PAC's products are made specificly for certain brands like Alpine, Sony, etc.. I had one for my Alpine Deck but never got around to installing it and it ran me $55 on ebay.

i wonder if the temp gauge is just off period, it seems to think it is always 40 degrees in the morning...

i don't think so...are we talking 5-10 mins or a few hours? perhaps you need a new battery. :)

that is odd, dunno what would be causing that. I don't believe i have that issue in mine car, I hope I just didn't jinx it.
