In answer to your question, Bose Corporation does not offer add on components and we also do not recommend adding any after market components to the factory installed systems, they are not compatible and typically will degrade the sound quality of the system.

Sounds pretty straight forward.

Have you had your Bose head unit software updated by the dealer? All the 2008.5's had a software glitch in them that caused bass and other issues. If you haven't had the reprogram done, take it in, it's free. You will notice a big difference.

Damn- that's worth a try. I'll call Monday and see what Courtesy has to say. Is there a associated bulletin number or something to reference???? I know we ran my VIN I believe at one time and John said there were no associated recalls. Did you have this done? if so, where?

If I remember correctly, it wasn't listed as a recal, but a bulletin. You have the same car as me so I would be willing to bet that you have the same firmware in your stereo. Mine was dropping bass and treble in and out at random, I had mine updated at Champion Mazda. I'll dig through my service records and see if they have a code associated with it.
