I'm looking to buy a Nardi Deepcorn steering wheel but I don't want the red thread on the wheel, how hard is it to restitch? Well, I don't stitch so I guess I should ask is there anyone out there that restitches steering wheels?

Get that old lady who re-did your seats to do it for ya bawahahaha!

No really tho any automotive upholstery shop could do it for cheap. I'm looking at getting a 330mm Nardi Deep Corn wheel myself...

Are you looking for one with blue stitching?

Here's a Personal wheel with blue stitching to match your seats: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERSONAL-350MM-STEERING-WHEEL-NEO-EAGLE-BLUE-STITCH-/130408070227?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5ced3c53

I know on EBay they have some Nardi wheels with the blue stitching

Yeah I'm definitely NOT letting that lady touch any of my other car parts, HELLZ no. I want to get it redone to match the thread that's in my seats and shift and ebrake boots. So buying one with blue stitching already might not work anyway. All the Deep Corns I've seen only have red stitching.

I know I've seen a few on EBay or other vendors that have Deep Corns with blue stitching, but it's a rare limited edition. Except to pay more than the normal because of the limited availability/rareness. It's probably be cheaper the just buy a normal Deep Corn and have an automotive upholstery shop redo the stitching.

There's a shop up here in Fort Collins that I've heard does good work, if you can't find a shop in Co Springs. But you could probably find a shop in-between the Springs and here anyways LOL

Well maybe I can get the wheel done while we're tuning the car LOL. I'll let you know if I find a place Chris.

Cheap being relative, when I researched this a while back, $200-300 was the most frequently tossed about number for reskinning at an upholstery shop. Restitching while leaving the current skin intact, that I'm not sure how much someone would charge.

Well hopefully it won't be the same price, because I can't see paying abour $300 for a steering wheel and spending another $200-300 for restitching. YIKES lol.

No way should it even be close to the cost of recovering a wheel, way less labor and material just to re-stitch. If it's that's much money I'm pretty sure my Fiance's mother or grandmother could do it for the cost of the stitching LOL

Yeah I hope not haha. I'm not sure if this will happen anyway but Simon told me he'd sell me his Deep Corn wheel, which is suede with red stitching, because he wants the Deep Corn that has the perforated leather covering. So if I can find him one of those for a good price we'll just trade I guess, like we did with the Enkeis haha.
