From what I have heard, that system has a great nav setup and the stereo isn't too bad either. You should definitely hear a HUGE improvement over the Bose head...nice Robert

Just ordered the Pioneer AVIC-D3X DVD Navigation Receiver w/ Bluetooth & iPod control cable. Also added the Pioneer GEX-P10XMT XM NavTraffic Satellite Radio and Boyo VTL300 Zinc Black License plate back-up camera. So bye-bye to my Bose as well.

that is a nice unit a takes a little getting used to to navigate through it. And there is this annoying beep everytime you touch a button you will want to turn off. it is in the Nav menu under volume controls (i think)

Was wondering if you have any suggestion for cab speaker(s)/components and amp(s). I'm like to go with 1-10" JL Audio W3V3, unsure on the ohm rating, in a
rear corner box. I'm not looking for a competion audio system but more of a better overall sounding system. I'm also not wanting to get too crazy money wise. I've spent SO much already on my Z.

I would go with JL speakers all the way around. And I would go with the new alpine amps, the are very small and light for their rating. I forget the model numbers.

I was thinking a really good/great set of components for the front and the one sub with a mild amp. However I've been out the audio game for so long I don't know what's out there. Nor do I remember ohm rating, watts, wiring, etc...

JL Audio VR600-CSi
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...00CS&tp=1061-10" JL Audio W3V3-4ohm
Alpine PDX-1.600
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...1600&tp=115This is what I would think. You might want to ask Goldrocket, he would know.

Thanks. I might order some custom pods. Don't know if I like the style just yet.

Also the Alpine is is rated too high, 600w RMS. The JL 10W3V3 is rated tof 500w RMS. Plus I honestly don't want that much wattage.
Looking through Crutchfield I'm think to run the JL 10W3 using the
JL A1200 mono amplifier at 2 ohms for 250-275w RMS.
Since you have me looking at components and JL at that I'm liking the
JL VR650-CSi. Same price as the VR600 but a 1/2" more woofer.

The JL amp will work great.
I put the 6 1/2" because that is what it said fit your car.

For a great sub with little room I would recommend the Image Dynamics ID8 V3. It's is an 8 that sounds like a 10 or 12" sub. not car rattling bass but great low end fill. Front speaks I would say the ID XS line, the Hertz (by Audioson) Hi Enrgy line, Focal make great speaks. soem of the best amps I have played with in a long time are the ARC Audio KS series they are nothing fancy to look at but they are very good amps they perform well and sound great. and realitively inexpensive. Audison makes some of the best sounding amps and their SRX line is pretty reasonable.

I agree with the amps as I own the PDX-4.150 and just love it!! But the JL's I would say are over rated for what they are.. For just a lil more money I would go with something more along the lines of Focal that is if you can afford something like those..

GOOD GOD MAN< DON'T OVERPAY A CROTCHFIELD!!!! I mean Crutchfield.
Go here:
Online Car StereoI hold zero inventory for my installs, so I don't have to have a sales tax license. I just send everybody here and charge for labor to install. Saves a TON of money. They also have a fitment guide so will not buy stuff that doesn't fit.
