Rattle Can Rims & Turbo Timer

Postby Sixburgher » Sun Aug 16, 2009 9:14

What do yall think? Didn't take very long to do either mod, just wanted to post pics because the car looks so much better now. Enjoy!

Also, if anyone is interested in doing a turbo timer but has refrained because they have read, "OMG you can't lock the doors with the keyless remote while the car is still on!" then don't be scared. The keyless remote DOES work when you do the install correctly.

Looks good!

Did you put any clearcoat on the wheels? Otherwise they will chip...a friend did this on his RX-8 back in Arizona and after a few months they had a bunch of chips on them and didn't look so hot.

I did. I put 3 coats of self-etching primer, 3 coats of black, and 3 coats of clear coat. They turned out pretty good so I'm hoping they will stay that way for awhile. By the time they start chipping I should have some Konig Feathers :)

There is plenty of room actually. It mounts with double-sided tape so if I really needed to get in there, it would come off pretty smoothly.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
