Kasumi (Chunbelievable's 8)

Postby chunbelievable » Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:14

I know I haven't checked in a while but I figured I drop an update on Kasumi to let everyone know I am still alive :)

Here's Kasumi with a better pick of her body kit. She now has Tein S-Tech springs and a Greddy SP2. I also added some small stuff like pillars, a rear accent, mazdaspeed 3rd brake stencil and some LED's for the corners.

Here's what she looked like when I joined CMZC

And here's my girl with my girl, you guys can decide the order or importance.

^^ Replica MazdaSpeed Kit :)

Meh, saved me about $1K but the fitment could be a little better. This is kit is urethane luckily, no real chance of me cracking it.

I kinda thought it might be a replica because of the gap between the headlight and the bottom lip isn't painted dark gray. But really I think it's one of the best replica's I've seen from you pics

Yeah I have little gap on both sides so at least it is uniform :)

The thing I really like about the replica is that it is urethane. I haev seen SOOOOO many cracked mazdaspeed bumpers that I jsut didn't want to risk it. I am a reasonably careful driver, but knowing me, I'd crack the more expensive bumper on a parking block or something stupid like that.

In '07 I believe Mazdaspeed switched to making the MS bumpers out of Metton, it's a hybird material that's about 10x stronger than urethane, so if someone is cracking a Metton bumper then they are doing something really stupid IMO. Mine has taken numerous curbs with as low as I am, a few small rocks, etc, and nothing. It holds just fine.

Jimmy!

Better pics of my girls are coming. I am not a photog at all so you'll have to excuse the crappy pics. Proper pics will be taken soon however.
