The shell is a 79 Limited. My friends and I transplanted a 13B with a RB intake and headers into the 79 shell. It was from a street driven 83, that I had purchased for parts. No idea of the mileage etc.
Lots of suspension stuff. Not the prettiest car, but it's fun!
Picture is from the last SCCA autocross at PPIR, I think at the end of 2005.

Nice car. I guess I am the only one with the original motor, I need to fix that.

i have a friend with a older rx7 just sitting on the side of his house. i thought about picking it up for a autox car, or drift car... a few hundred for a fun ride.

They are fun cars. Stock motors are not high powered, but they are pretty neutral handling. Still a fair amount of parts around too.

yeah thats why i thought about it for autox. bc id like to do that sometime, legally drive fast try to get good time. for a good time as in fun. Lol
