nice pics! they are looking good, it looks like between the pics when you had your first 7 and the current one you've gotten alot better!
and like i was gonna say about your other thread (didnt wanna hijack a welcome thread when you have a pic thread)
your camera equipment doesn't really matter. yes some things make it easier, but its not needed. for instance, Do you think when stephen king writes he makes a better novel on a brand new mac or a 5 year old used windows notebook? And if you have the same computer as him do you think it will make you write any better? Only reason i would ever choose L-series over the standard lens is so they would fit the film camera, which is full frame vs cropped sensor, that and i love the freedom of the fstop they provide.
these pics were taken with a 3 dollar box camera
and if you go here this whole portfolio was taken with an iphone..

The lady is my mom, lol. The kid was the kid of a friend of theirs. The photo was taken about 15 years ago so the kid is no longer very cute haha.
I'm probably going to hold on to my 35mm, I still use them. One is a 1960's Nikon, than I have a Nikon N2020 and a Canon AE1. If you are ever looking for a good 35mm the AE1 is one of the best cameras ever made.

And I really love this, because the sunset makes it just much sexier.
