do a bunch of highway pulls to heat up the drivetrain, then drive fast through a massive puddle. repeat....

That's a good question, I'd be curious to know as well and how much it costs. I'm also looking to get my engine bay cleaned as well. I hate opening the hood and seeing dirt inside of spots I can't reach.

I have no idea where you can have this done, but I believe you can rent a portable hot water high-pressure washer (aka hotsie?) from places like united rentals, Home Depot, Ace, etc. Drive your car up on ramps or use jackstands on the driveway and go to town.

VRx8, I need to have this done to my car as well. I'd be willing to split a rental of a hotsie with you if you want. The underside of my car is an oil slick from the leaky oil cooler I had.

Chris, that's fine we just need to get some ramps.I have a pair of ramps but I don't think they are tall enough.

Wouldn't a "good" detail shop have the resources to do this?

Why not just bring some ramps and a few cans of Gunk to the local Pay'N'Spray coin car self-wash?

I thought about trying that. My ramps are too steep for the RX so I want thinking of bringing the floor jack and a set of jack stands.

I have some ramps at the house too, but they may be the same kind that you have Chris. If someone is home you can go by and take a look though. They should be in the front shed, the one in the corner.

Cool. I need to do it too, but I don't want to until it's warmer haha.
