So, I got some polish on the black plastic bed caps. Tried an eraser, didn't work. Tried peanut butter, works like a charm. So, if you get wax on any of the black plastic bits, give peanut butter a try. It works!

Thanks, I'll give this a try on the speed! There's black plastic around the foglight housing that I think has wax on it.

Coincidentally, I just had a Nutty Professor (Crave peanut butter burger).
Now back OT: will the peanut butter remain edible, following the wax procedure?

I'm so confused... So you put the peanut butter on your truck, your dog licks it off and it essentially cleans the plastic... Got it

I'd guess this is common sense, but creamy variety is preferred over that of the chunky, yes? Nothing worse than peanuts gettting stuck in your trim

Yes. And as always, YMMV. It worked on my truck, but I won't guarantee it'll work on your car. Try first in an inconspicuous area. I used PB mainly because I had nothing else around to try, so I gave it a shot.
