FS: OEM Mazdaspeed6 wheels, with tires!

Postby ~Barn~ » Sat Jan 03, 2009 9:14

Got a set of 4 for sale. I haven't paid ultra close attention to them, since I've only have the car for like a month, but outside of standard wear, they're in great looking shape

I'll go snap some pictures of all of them later, and get them posted up. In the meantime though, here's a stock photo of what they look like.

The full resolultion shots can be found hither.

hither #3.
Quatro.

Make me a EDIT: for dommo_g (non-retarded) offer.

Well... I was figuring just the wheels, but they do have tires on them right now, so I guess I could consider a combo deal.

I hadn't thought too much about it though, since I was really just thinking of swapping over the tires, to the new wheels. Especially since it looks like there's quite a bit of tire left all the way around. (?)

If you are getting new wheels and can afford new tires, then I would suggest getting a wider wheel and putting 225 or 235 size tires on there. Wider is almost always better, just make sure they won't rub.

+1 on that.......I ran 235 on the stock wheels with no rubbing, but as soon as I stepped up to a wider wheel I got rubbing and rolled the fenders. Made a difference in handling and of course appearance.......Good luck

I highly recommend going with a 235/40 on the RX-8 wheel. I have 225/40's on them now and there is absolutely no sidewall to protect the rim. 235's look nice and "normal" and won't have a negative effect on the speedo...

I am interested in your tires- let me know what they are- my MS6 needs new skins...

Thanks!

If I go with 235/40 tires, will I experience rubbing problems?

From what I have read (other MS6 forums)- it is not an issue unless you are really dropped. Some are even running 245's w/o issues at stock ride height.

$200, eh? Okay, deal.

- The only catch is that you have to drive to Longmont to pick up the wheels I bought.

- Bring them back to Centennial and take them to Big-O tires.

- Wait there, while they install whatever tires I decide to buy. (I'll phone that in).

- Once they're done, bring the newies over to my place (about 1/2 mile from the Big-O).

- And then remove and replace your wheels and tires for mine. (Bring a torque wrench).

Screw it... Make it $180. I'm feeling generous.

Next time post a price and you won't feel offended when you get the offer you asked for.

I said make me an offer because I'm not trying to be a hard-ass about profiting on the sale. Maybe somebody who notices that might respond to me who otherwise might not, because money is tight. Maybe a quick PM to me, to make a realistic offer, or negotiate a trade, or maybe even to ask to make payments, if it's cool with me. Something like that.

That being said, I give credit to the readers of the forum to understand this, and to ask appropriate questions, if they feel like I'm leaving something out of the equation. Now I'm not going to tear into you too bad, because I don't know you personally, but don't think for a second that you need to some how fill-me-in on For Sale etiquette, by way of your played out cleverness. If I some how "asked for" your asinine offer by not posting a price, then you asked for this reply by waiting 10 posts to discover your sense of humor.

Oh... and that credit I was talking about giving to forum members..... Consider yours declined.

I could probably get you free mount balance + a big discount on tires at Discount if you felt like trading straight across.

You'd probably end up with the same amount of cash later.

Hmm... That actually sounds like it might work. With the feedback I've been getting around running a slightly wider tire, I kinda would like to give that a try.

Since my new wheels are already purchased, am I understanding you right, that you're offering the hook-up on the purchase of new tires, plus a free mount and balance of those tires, for my MS6 wheels that are coming off?
