If anyone has or can get their hands on a mazdaspeed protege transmission that works decent let me know

do you have a speed protege? my tranny went out in january and icalled everywhere and even lakewood mazda couldnt order it. so i had to get mine rebuilt. and it cost me 500 bucks and it has held upreally great. all the dealer sells are the internal parts of the tranny.

well what happen to my car is it felt like my clutch just all of a sudden it felt like my clutch slipped. and drove it like 6 blocks and finally my car stopped rolling . all this happen on my lunch break andcoldcold as hell outside. so i over nighted a clutch kit dropped the tranny replaced everything next day put the tranny on 8 freaking hours all day to do it in january weather. started it with the wheels inthethe air on jack stands and engaged gears to firstand the wheels spun. took it off the stands and it didnt move. i was not about to take that shit off again so i took it too this mexican shop where they barely speak english and they tookthe trany off spunthethe clutchplate and they held the axels down and the plate just spun. it was 500 but i paid more because i had them put it on and iput another flywheel on. since then i raised my boost to 10 psi and its still strong. the shop is here in denver off of 38 and tejon. i was kinda sketchy ontaking it there but my dad takes all of his cars there i mean a trannsmission is a trannsmission. i could even go with you if you want i live by there

ya man that would be pretty sick if you could go with me too. and my second gear syncro is going out cuz i bought it and this guy raced it once and fucked up second gear so i just wanna get it fixed before it fully goes out. and thanks for the help too and that sucks id be so fucking pissed if that happened and i had to do it in the cold. and ya thats true a transmission is a transmission haha

and about how long does it take?

it took them a couple days like three. but will you have the tranny off or will it be on the car still? lemme know and ill call them tomorrow. so the gear just grinds when shifted into 2nd? yeah these cars arent hondas that could be speed shifted from first to second.

ya true that these are definitley aren't hondas and it will probably still be in the car and that would be sweet

I think speed shifting is when you don't ease up on the accelerator when shifting gears.
