ok...so...i have been doing alot of research for tires for the speed....i dont want to mess with taking on and off tires with the seasons. Has anyone here tried or know of anyone who has tried the BFGoodrich g-force super sport a-s tires. I have ordered a set for the speed in 225/40/18 and they are going on the car tomorrow. That is why i am selling the stock Bridgestones. If no one has ran these tires I will post something after the drive home tomorrow night about the snow traction. I am not expecting miracles but they seem to have decent reviews

It takes less than an hour to do the swap yourself twice a year, once to put on the snows, once to put on the summer tires. All seasons aren't great in the snow and aren't great in the summer. I'll give up that little bit of garage space and one hour every 6 months to have good traction year round, especially in a high-powered FWD car.

Edit - looked up a few reviews on those BFG Super Sports and they are just so-so in the snow, which is to be expected from a 40 series tire. Judging from the prices on Tire Rack ($515 for 4 + shipping + the cost to have them mounted and balanced to your stock wheels which is usually about $60), you could have saved a hundred bucks and just gotten a set of 16" black steelies with snow tires for $472 + shipping and had good traction in winter and good traction in summer.

Huge 3rd. I picked up my nice wheels with stock tires already on them (with less wear) for $600. Good luck.

Huge 4th. Plus I agree 100% with erod550. I have the Factory RE50's that work great in the summer. Yokohama W drives that are doing fantastic in the weather we are having now. For an hour twice a year or about $50.00 a pop I will trade that any day for great traction. If I had a stock 3, all seasons would probably be fine. But for a MS3, I will put up with the added hassle of two sets of tires. Hopefully one day on two sets of rims making the switch that much easier. More expensive for sure, but what is the cost of a sudden loss of traction? BTW- I put my RE50's and the stock rims up for sale- best offer I got was $300.00 for all 4.

yeah, seems about right. I bought ms6 wheels and tires for 450 I think it was. These tires are not known for holding a good treadlife too, so pics would be extremely helpful in a sale. If they have close to no wear, then I can see 400.

Agreed. That's be a great deal then.

I just spent the extra money to get a 2nd set of wheels. For one, I'd eventually end up spending that money anyway in the cost of having a tire shop switch tires on the stock wheels, plus, the fewer times I can have a tire iron near my wheels with the chance of scratching them up the better. Plus, 16" snow tires are way cheaper than 18", so in the long run, the ~$400 I spent on a second set of decent looking 16" wheels will pay for itself. Could have saved even more just getting steelies but I hated that look on my SRT-4 and didn't want to cheap out this time. The car looks a million times better with the 16" alloys than with steelies.
