I am looking to finally buy an rx-7. I have been lingering around the forums for a couple of months now and I've finally decided to buy one. I talked to Ian awhile back about his rx7 he was selling but I was leaving town to work at a summer camp in Texas. I am back and have decided to finally pull the trigger, so if you know anyone with an rx7 in good condition that wants to sell to someone that loves the car, please have them contact me. My email address is
broncofan1524@yahoo.com or they can post in this thread. Thank you. Nick

I have an FC that I bought to build into a race car, would not take much to make it a DD again. If you like you can swing by the shop and take a look at it.

I've got one that's way pre-1993. In fact, the manufacture plate is stamped 3/78 so it's a very, very early one. (FB, first-generation). It's silver, vinyl interior, five-speed. Body is fantastic, especially for its age. Motor needs some love.
Haven't prepped it for sale yet, but lemme know if you (or anyone) is interested.

Looking more for a car I could drive while slowly improving. So major motor issues that would take imediate work isn't what I'm looking for. I don't care if the car needs work, I just want it to be driveable.

You could drive this slowly while improving it??
More seriously - I don't think it'll pass emissions and it smokes on startup. If you're in non-emissions area and would be looking to replace the motor, it could be a really fun ride.

I've always wanted an SA. I'm just afraid I won't be up for another project, I'm kinda losing steam on this one haha.
He's selling that already? Or didn't he just move to CO or something?

He joined like 2 months ago saying he moved here recently. His last post was over a month ago, but about 2 weeks ago, I PMed him about getting the high flow air filter for my Legacy. Haven't seen him since. That's most definitely his car, and it looks to be in perfect condition. There's also a 91 convertible on Craigslist that (if actually true) has only 20,000 miles on it. The listing says it's a twin turbo, so I'm guessing that it's someone who doesn't know squat about the car except that it's an RX-7 and ended up finding the specs for the FD engine instead of his own FC. He is asking 8k, might be worth checking out. It also appears to be in really good condition.

id start with a 1000 beater then figure stuff out from there. thats how i learned. memories of my first rotary... thought it was a nightmare then i started to figure shit out. finding an FC for 1k or under is easy.
if its a 4lug thats over 1k i wouldnt bother entertaining it but thats just me.
this isnt a bad one

Jun lim lives down the street from me but I have been so busy in and out of town I haven't seen him driving around lately.
I would make someone a pretty great deal on my FC I guess, as long as it was before winter. Once the racing slows down I will be more inclined to build it into a race car than sell it as a street car.

No but it could really quickly

I am actually considering selling the turbo FC that we ran up Pikes Peak etc. I just really havent done anything with it and it just sort of sits around the shop now.

That could be arranged as well. What I have is an S4 FC sunroof car that was partially prepped for paint then sold a couple of times between some friends before I bought it. Its pretty straight but does need paint and could be ready to be caged very very quickly (which is why I bought it) but does have pretty much everything minus some minor trim items to put it back into running daily driver condition. If I still have it over the winter I will be tearing it down and caging it etc. to move it to some form of road racing to use as a school/rental car.
