Great looking Ride. I can see why your Ride was tagged.
Looking forward to checking it out a meet sometime soon.
Also would like to hear about the mazda scene in Florida.

Well the group I was involved with was Street Unit. They are based out of Orlando. It's actually a performance parts site that also has a forum (hope that doesn't get me in trouble) and group meets and etc. When I first got involved they weren't that big but now they have exploded and are pretty popular with Mazda enthusiats in FL. They expanded way beyond what I even know now. There were people from all over the US but the majority were in Florida last I knew. But they would have people drive down from New Orleans, Mississippi, and Maryland just for the shows and events like Sebring and HIN. I was more active back in 2007 and 2008 but I got pretty busy with life so I fell away. It was fun though.

I'm familar with Streetunit. I purchase alot of performance parts from them. In fact, I purchased my forged engine thru their build-a-block program. I had my Ride listed on their sponsorship program last year, but didn't follow-up with getting it registered in 2009. But I do know that Streetunit is very active and big in Florida which is great for Mazda enthusiast in the southeast.

Well, If you lived in FL in would be logical to be hanging out with Cullen and Mark and the rest of SU. A few of us are sponsored by SU (self included). Are you a member of MSF by any chance? I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for your car. I live on Yarrow St. just north of the H20 in right in Old Town.

Well then hello neighbor. That would be correct. I was sponsered at some point in time. I didn't renew anything so I doubt I am now. Still have the decals on my windows though. Nope, not a member of MSF. Yarrow St. isn't familiar to me but if I'm correct H20 is Wadsworth? Still working on street names.

Question... how do you you keep your cars looking clean out here? I wash it one day and the next it's filthy. It's black so of course every dirt spec shows but we have the same problem with the F150 and it's white. We're used to hand washing and detailing the vehicles once a week which sufficed in FL.

Good luck with Black. I have black Mazda 5 as well and it's a nightmare. It doesn't help the train running through Arvada as well.
Yarrow Street is 2 blocks west of the center of Old Town off Grandview(Grandview/Old Wadsworth). Water tower is on the south side of Yarrow where it begins and runs up to Ralston....blah blah blah.

My black car-owning friends use car covers to keep dust off. Then the rain has nothing to "spot up" with.

I'm thinking about trading my car in for something 4 wheel drive since we seem to do a lot a of mountain trips and with snowboarding season coming up it's only going to be even more often.

On KBB value says...

Retail Value: $15.5k
Private Party Value: $13.5k
Trade In Value: 11.5k

That's for the 2007 s Sport 2.3L sedan stock with 32k miles.

Now mine has BC Racing adjustable coilovers with camber arms, Borla Catback Exhaust, Street Unit engine mount, Kosei wheels w/ lowprofile Pirelli, and blacked out: emblems, tail lights, and sidemarkers.

Would I be better off selling it or trading it in? And for how much if I try to privately sell it?
