Hello:
Im new to the scene here in colorado, moved from Puerto Rico where I had a 91 Turbo II and a 88 vert with a s4 swap. I just recently bought a near mint condition Black vert with future plans of a twin turbo swap. Hoping to meet some people with same passion of rotaries as me

Welcome to Colorado. I visited Puerto Rico last May. It was a good place to visit and I'm sure I'll go back soon. They seem to be big on Mazdas out there. I saw a 2010 Mazda3 out there long before seeing one here. Saw a bunch of other modded Mazdas as well. What part did you live in?

Welcome! Come on out to the meets on Friday nights (we have them on Saturday or Sunday on some weekends too). And there is a HUGE (mostly rotary) meet in Denver on Sunday starting at 10am at a go-kart track. I'm heading up for that, hoping to caravan with a bunch of folks...mostly so someone can help me with the car when it starts acting funny like it always does now when I go to Denver lol.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome, Just a quick update on my project:
The good:
S5 Tii engine, tranny and ECU just came in (Decided not to go TT Yet)
New Tii Hood
The Bad:
Cant install S5 (live in apartments & no garage)

Got my vert top slashed just for the heck of it
Hoping to do a complete overhaul with 2mm rotary aviation seals, streetport, FMIC and install at the end of the year. Hopefully have the house and a nice garage by then.

They seem to be way better than atkins, everyone back home uses them on their race mods. Have you put them in your TII yet?

I lived in Toa Baja, about 15 minutes from San Juan. Miss that place like crazy tons of rotary meets there.

The Rotary Aviation rebuild kit is also a great option, and you can upgrade to RA Super Seals which I've heard nothing but good stuff about. I knew of people who during tear downs would re-use RA Super Seals.

Not yet. Maybe when it blows again ill think about it. I'm running atkins 2piece with a street port. At the moment.

I've personally heard of mixed reviews on Atkins seals. Not that I would say absolutely to some one "don't use them" but I would be less inclined to use Atkins seals over RA Super Seals, for sure.
For me, I would use RA Super Seals or even OEM Mazda seals are a good option, depending on what you're building.
If cost is no object, Ianetti or NRS ceramic seals are also a good option, but I've heard mixed reviews about those, as well. Although the Ianetti ceramic seals were used in the LeMan-winning 4-rotor p-port R26B 787B Mazda race car...
