Well, hello! Colorado front-range transplant here, moved here from back east in 2006. I've joined a few other Mazda forums, but am happy to see one full of drivers facing the same unusual circumstances Colorado can create for driving and caring for vehicles.

I decided I needed to probably get another car when my 98 Honda Civic CX hatchback's head gasket gradually began leaking exhaust into the coolant loop. Got the head gasket done at around 212K (215K now), but after the headgasket job, it began blowing blue smoke after engine-braking long grades and putting my foot back on the pedal at the bottom. Probably o-rings or valve seals...

I decided I needed a hatchback more acclimated to the hills and curves, seriously considered used Subaru Impreza wagons and mazda3 hatchbacks, but found them not to be substantially cheaper than new ones with nice things like warranties, which also suggested resale value advantages...

Walked unwittingly into a certain E Arapahoe Mazda dealership that seemed surprisingly motivated to move mazda3s before close of business on August 2nd, end of a quota period apparently, and found myself driving home in my new 2010 mazda3 s sport 6-spd (w/ bose + moonroof). The 2010 front styling is unapologetically highlighted by pearl white paint; I wanted silver, but this was what they had in inventory with the 6-spd, and it's quite honestly grown on me quickly.

It's my third car, my first factory-NEW car, and sitting behind the wheel and coming from the civic, it just feels right, somehow. Definitely feeling the zoom-zoom on the front range mountain roads surrounding my home. :) Technically, I've driven mazda gear before, my first car, a 93 Ford Festiva, I understand had the powertrain from the Mazda 121, and it never failed me, taught me to drive a manual.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Geo2maz, see my PM. :)

I like the way the white looks under a variety of lighting conditions. Plus, less fortunately, I live just off a dirt road with no garage, and so any vehicle is difficult to keep clean, but, I think the brown powder is a little less evident on white than, say, black!

Rectangular fog lights as opposed to the round ones on the MS3.

Welcome aboard Chromal! Who was your salesmen there at Groove? I just bought mine a few months ago and got out of there with a great deal too. I like that Crystal White Pearl color....looks sharp.

Les Gum, an older gentleman. He approached me while I was out in the lot looking at Mazdas, got me into my preferred trim mz3 for a test drive quickly, and let the car sell itself. :) I guess he could tell I pretty much knew what I wanted, and helped make that happen. I'm kind of bummed Mazda corporate is calling my VOIP voicemail-only line, not my cell phone, for their dealership review follow-up call without leaving me a callback number because I'd like to give Les kudos in my feedback.

Someone at Groove was telling me they move twice as many mazdas as the next biggest dealer in the sales region. I wonder if that's true, pretty impressive for a group that I guess has only been around half a year.
