Hello,
My name is Mark Misegadis. I am from Colorado Springs and am a new member to the Colorado Mazda Club forum.
The majority of my Mazda time has been spent behind the wheel of a friend’s GTX on the Ice.
I am preparing a standard 1988 Mazda 323 in “GT form” (Twin Cam/Turbo/2WD) to run up Pikes Peak. When completed it will have wide body flairs like the Berg Cup German hill climb cars. The car is currently disassembled and hanging on a rotisserie that I designed and fabricated with a friend. The majority of the seam caulking, sound deadener and undercoating have been removed with the help of liquid nitrogen. The cage work will be handled by Wayne Demonja who was formerly a Mazda factory sponsored racer in a Class 7 Desert truck. I am working out the tire/wheel choices now as that will affect the width of the car and flairs. I’ll be fabricating these flairs as well as composite replacement panels for this car.
I look forward to chatting with everyone here about Mazdas!
