Good Deal On Snow Tires For 18" MS3 Wheels

Postby Integraautox » Sat Nov 14, 2009 9:14

I just placed my order on tirerack.com for a set of (4) 215/45R-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires. When you go to checkout the total price for the tires was $146.00/each $584.00 total. Then there was a $60.06 shipping charge which brought the total to $644.06 (no sales tax charged). They also have a promotion going on right now that lasts until the 15th for a $70 mail in cash rebate on the purchase of (4) Michelin tires. So the grand total with shipping comes to $574.06 Just thought I would let everyone know about this in case you needed snow tires for your MS3

I did the exact same thing for my MS3. They haven't seen snow yet, but they are fine so far. Much softer than my GT's for sure. :D

Not a bad price at all for 18" snows. If I drove my Mazda in the winter I'd go for that.

Also, remember to try to wait till the last minute to put snows on. Dry pavement wears them out super fast.

Verdict... these did just fine on my MS3 in the snow tonight. No complaints :)

I can't wait for these things to arrive. I couldn't make it out of my driveway this morning so I ended up walking to work. Luckily it's only a 5 minute walk but it still sucked.

Well I tracked my tires on the UPS web site and it said the tires were delivered at my front door. I go outside and there is nothing there so I end up calling UPS who then calls the driver who claimed he droped them off at the correct address. I explained to them that I was standing outside at my front door and there were no tires there. They said they would call me back tommorow. Well I am pissed at this point so I leave my house about 30 minutes later to go get some dinner. As I am pulling out of my complex I see a UPS driver pulling into the complex so I decided to go talk to him and see if he knew anything. Well it ends up this was the driver who dropped off the tires and he drove me to "the correct address" where I supposidly lived. It ends up that he dropped them off at unit 18-101 instead of 13-101. We go to the front door where the tires were incorrectly dropped off and they are no where to be found. He was some how able to get this residents contact info and called the guy. Theguy said he brought them inside during his lunch break but will be home at 6pm and I can come pick up the tires then. Well I finally just went over there and picked up my tires and I am glad to say they are now in my possesion. It was a very stressful day and I just wanted to vent a bit.

Wow. Scary. Atleast you go them and UPS handeled it quickly. I'd only expct stuff like that to happen with Fedex. I don't trust Fedex.
