If I didn't already own the MS6, I could see this in my driveway. How mod-friendly is this car?

What size turbo does it have? I assume it would be a pretty solid mod...put 250 HP in that little guy and it will MOVE.

Stock? A pee-shooter. Smaller than a GT25. Much smaller than the turbo on your MS6.

But they can be pretty mod friendly. I drove a stock one (friend's) in Phoenix and it was decently quick. With a full turbo back exhaust you can easily gain 35-45 horsepower. Like most factory turbo cars, opening up the breathing (i.e. intake and exhaust) frees up some decent power.

The engine is pretty stout, too, BP motors can take some boosted abuse. So it may alleviate your worries about popping your MS6 motor

The best part is, since Miata's are so lightweight, you don't need to chase 350-400rwhp in order to be fast.

Man, I'd LOVE to buy that then, and mod the CRAP out of it. a 250-HP Miata is easily quicker than my MS6...until it snows. LOL.

If I wasn't driving to Denver 5 times a week and having to worry about doing that commute in the winter I would probably seriously consider trying to get out of my MS3 and into this MSM. Payments would be a lot cheaper and I'd have more fun with it I think. I would miss having the utility of my hatch though.

Yeah, seriously. If the MS6 was paid for, I'd be making a serious play for this car. MS6 for DD, MSM for weekend/track car. BUt I'd have to see if I even fit in one. LOL.

If I can "fit" in one, I bet $100 bucks you can. I use fit loosely because the bridge of my nose is level with the top of the windshield and my left leg is jammed in-between the door and the steering wheel, and the shifter is stabbing me in the right leg if I'm in any gear between 1st-4th (I'm also 6'7", it's a miracle I can fit in an FD)

I could drive a Miata in anger doing a few hot laps, but wouldn't consider ever owning one.

Yea I'm 6'0" and I pretty much barely fit in one. If my torso was any longer I'd be banging my head on the frame of the top over every bump. And my left leg is pretty much jammed between the steering wheel and door and I don't even have the window crank on there cause it doesn't work right now. Not sure how it's going to work once I get that fixed and the crank is back on there lol. That wouldn't be an issue in the MSM though cause it has power windows. And then there's the e-brake on the other side that I have to contend with with my right leg.

But yea, I can see how it would be much too small for someone 7 inches taller than me.
