$14k for an '04 is a bit high.

14k miles and the engine was replaced? WTF? And it doesn't even look like the body kit is on there right. Either that or the hood is popped in that photo.

04's had a lot of issues (first model year) specifically around OMP oiling. Plus, an 04 with only 14k miles means it wasn't driven very often and could have gotten a lot of carbon build up.

And yes the hood is popped in the photo. But I agree that price is too high for an 04.

I wonder if he'd trade for an '04 Mazda 3 with a newer engine in it....

Way to much for the miles on it. Is it even a gt? And the Hood is popped.

I just picked up an 05 with 66k on the chassis and 850 on the motor for 12,500...i bet this guy would take lower than that.

I still can't believe how much the value of 8's plummeted. I purchased my old '05 in '07 for $22k. Not even a GT model, just a Sport Package Base.

Theyve gotten a pretty bad wrap on reliability...I think thats whats dropped the value. I spent months looking for a vehicle i would want...only requirements were RWD, LSD and +200 hp...test drove a bunch of things and settled on this...the back seats are a HUGE bonus because now i can save miles on the santa fe...kid fits in the back like his recaro carseat was made to be there.

I don't think it's that bad of a deal actually. Sure, the 04s had problems, but the engine has already been changed on this one and considering the whole car only has 14k and the engine only has 200 (which sucks in a way because it still needs to be broken in), I think it's not too bad a deal. Obviously I'd shoot for lower, but it's not too bad I don't think.

Hehe I think that's the first time I've heard someone say they're going to drive their sports car to keep miles off their Hyundai.

Haha... 35k SUV > 12ish k sports car...i look at the long term...besides its a good excuse to drive the mazda more.

14k is still way to much. Even if it has a MS kit. Especially when I can pick them up for like 9k with less miles.

You can get them for $9k with less than 14k miles on the chassis and less than 200 miles on the engine??? I have to know where this is.

Not to mention that a car that is 7 years old has the mileage of a car that is 1 year old. Wild.
