Ya thats why I was asking, cause I dont think they would fit.. so I was just assuming you wanted only the tires themselves.. You could buy them for the price, then turn around and try and recoup some of your money by selling the rims..

Yep I'd sell the rims and my stock potenza tires as well to recoup.

Good deal, I would make sure they have the same bolt pattern and offset.... I need to start looking for snow tires myself, as the STI comes with RE070's which are basically just street slicks with a couple lines in them lol.

The tires are definitely good tires for snow and winter weather. I'd get on Tire Rack and see what kind of lug spacing and offset SL500's have.

I don't know Josh, 255 is pretty wide for our Speed3's. Check the Mazda3Forums to see what the widest some guys have gone....

^^ Good point. Narrow is the way to go for wintertime.

Tire Rack says you can put 16" wheels and tires on.

I actually agree, Speed3 wheels are only 7.5" wide, honestly running a 235 wide tire on them is pushing it, 255 is a little overboard. Even if they fit the wheel alright, you would probably have some rubbing issues unless you had your fenders rolled. On top of that, for snow/ice, thinner tires are better. Add all of those things up, and I would suggest getting a different set of tires...
