I've got a friend that works for host gator so I might also be able to help in the new hosting department if scrilla's brother ends up being unable to help out. I definitely don't want to see this site die!

Huzer - My brother is going to setup a login and stuff for you tomorrow. He says it might not be the fastest server out there, but hopefully it will handle this stuff. As long as the rule for 'no-uploading' stays in place and we just link to pictures and such like now, the storage will be no problem. He said to also give you his email in case you have any questions.

I'll PM you the info tomorrow after work if he remembers to set it up.

thanks for checking and please let us know,

Huzer wrote:As an update, I tried to provide billing info to the hosting company but was unable to. Since I am not the account holder, they would not take my info. Thus, I can not extend the site in its current forum. A migration to a different format and different host is required by the end of the month.

Do you have admin access to the DNS info for the domain names?

Our options are free hosting as mentioned above. If it doesn't have some of the "ease of use" things that I'll need to run the site, I'll have to move to a host. Godaddy, where we were hosted previously, currently can host for $1/month for 1 year, after that, it's $6.99/month. Both of those, I can swing.

My biggest hurdle is converting the boards on this site prior to the end of the month. Yikes.

Edit: I've successfully installed new boards and I'm running through a trial conversion process now. If it's mostly successful (garage will be gone, as will most of the "add ins") we'll be ready to move to a new host.

Close! It's no longer the end, just a new beginning on a new host.
