I think a G37 you might have a slight chance because they weight more...but the 370Z is lighter than the old 350Z AND has more power (332bhp?) which means about 272bhp at this altitude give a take a few ponies, and it weights 3300lbs IIRC, so it's be a good race.
I drove a 370Z and it felt pretty good, low end torque was pretty incredible, and it felt the torque was broad and fat from 2500rpm through redline. I think from a dig the 370Z would get you, but from a roll it'd be a drivers race

Except I'm an MS6 with a CAI. So probably 290 bhp, but 3600 FAT-*** pounds. LOL.
I LOVE the look of the 370Z, and in that blue color, it's HOT. But the cheapest I've seen one around here is $38K, and that's too much, IMHO. I'll wait for the new 5.0L mustang to come down in price in a couple of years.

I'm well aware of the difference between N/A and turbo cars at this altitude. I just didn't think you'd be walking all over a car that has 30-40hp more than you at sea level depending on if you believe the MS3 number or the MS6 number since it's the same engine. 10% difference between turbo and N/A on a 300hp engine is 30hp, and you've got more drivetrain loss than a Mustang so in a roll race with even power, the Mustang should at least be able to keep up or even win. Plus Mustangs (manuals anyway) weigh about 200lbs less than your tank.
You mention 350Zs and say you can beat the DEs but not the HRs. The HRs only have 6 more hp and 60ft lbs less torque than an '05-'09 Mustang GT.
I know some cars are generally overrated from the factory and some are underrated (like the Neon SRT-4), so the numbers on paper don't always add up, but I was already taking the altitude difference into account when I made my first post about this.

I didn't walk all over him. I walked away from him. Didn't RUN from him...just walked.
The MS3 and MS6 engines are the same, but tuned differently, amounting to a whopping 9 HP difference LOL.
Don't understand the 10% reference...

I haven't faced an HR, so I'm going off what I've read on that one. Might be BS. And before my CAI, I know for a fact I walked (pulled away slowly) a first-gen G35, but was dead even with the second-gen, so that kind of supports the assertion.
But the Mustang GT thing -- walked away from more than one, so I'm confident in the difference.

I had a run in with a G37 coupe a few weeks ago. Can't believe I forgot about it.
This morning some guys in an older WRX hatch (early 2000s I think) like this one but black came running up behind me on I-25 after hearing my BOV and me passing him up while getting on the highway. Well we got onto 6th and I floored it and ran on him. The whole way down 6th till he got off I-70 he was riding my bumper and changing lanes whenever I would. Twice more on that drive I floored it and pulled but he wouldn't leave me alone. Sad. I'd like to see what I can do against a newer one.

Had a run-in with a WRX also. Also an older one, not a bugeye but the one right after that. He was modded so I figured he'd at least keep up a little bit. I was wrong, heh.

Yesterday, on my way home from work, I got behind a white 2010 Camaro SS. He was driving spiritedly, moving through traffic, so I followed him, letting him be my lead blocker. He wasn't WOT, so I stayed with him until we parted ways. Today on the way home, he got behind me. I wasn't aware of him because I was keeping an eye on some bitch in a minivan yapping on her cell phone ahead of me, but when I turned left, there was suddenly a white Camaro beside me.
He matched my speed for a second, then took off. I loled. I've faced those before and know just how much slower than them my car really is. I was turning right anyway, but it was funny that he wanted to play. Give me three years, when this thing is modded all to hell and actually has some giddyup, then I'll try. But by then, the damn Camaros will have like 500 HP and I'll be the slow kid again. LOL.
I will say this -- that V8 sounded BEAUTIFUL. Just about aroused me.

I really don't think those SS camaro's are THAT quick, yes quick, but by no means fast. 13 in the quarter, gunna be slower up here...I've raped the v6 versions...which where only a second and a half faster than the SS.
I've stayed right on the bumper of the SS's getting on the highway...and yes they were WOT, the rumble gave it away (about the only nice thing those cars have).

I think they have more than just the sound. IMHO, they're great looking cars, and 400 HP stock is better than my POS stock. I think I'd rather have the 5.0L mustang, though. It apparently handles like a dream.

Yea I've not been that impressed by the new Camaro SS's. They are fat pigs and ugly to boot (imo). The damn things weigh almost 4000 lbs (3860).
I haven't run one yet but I want to. I saw what I hope was a V6 running 15.3s pretty consistently at Bandi. At sea level I'm sure the SS is a beast, or even with mods up here, which it sounds like the one you ran into might not be stock, but up here, stock, they're not that great imo.

The one I ran into before walked me pretty good. Not as bad as I THOUGHT it was going to, but it still walked me. The driver made up for it by damn near killing himself a few minutes later, though. Almost t-boned a truck. LOL.

this is on a different level than what you guys usually are talking about. different as in lower, haha, but:
I'm still loving the trouble I can get up to in my MZ3 alone on mountain roads, although it out-handles all the pickups and SUVs up in Evergreen, the other night was a little humbling to be tailgated by a 911 (or so I assumed from the headlights in my rear-view mirror that night-- no street lights on that stretch of road) for three or four miles of twists and turns despite my best efforts to lose them. But it was cool 'playing' (or maybe that's 'being played with').
On the bright side, when I reached the exact same stretch (where it goes from suburban to a more rural and mountainous highway with few entrances) On my drive home today a VW Passat driver discovered their Passat does not out handle a '10 MZ3 S, not even if they cross center double lines while the mz3 doesn't. I had been on them, pretty much locked two seconds behind them in a 30mph zone. When we hit the rural highway stretch, he floored it, even clipping through the center lines on the next curve, leading into an open stretch ahead. I follow without leaving my lane, car road tires all nominal, and I simply try to keep up. It isn't hard, I'm obviously gaining after the second corner. By the forth or fifth, he seemed to give up, but for all I really know, we never actually interacted. But.. I'm faster than a Passat! Well, maybe not. That thing was quick, just not seemingly as brilliant on the curves. XD I gave him a big thumbs up held out my open window when our paths took us separate ways, though, for "trying." (?)
See attached for a look from the starting point where this all happened.

What motor was in the Passat? If it was the 3.6, they can be pretty quick. There's a modded one around here that kept up with me one time.
I've only ever driven a Jetta. It wasn't very much of a driver's car, but it was also a base model rental unit.
