windows mobile is a joke. windows for pc is probably worse.

I'm running 2.3 (gingerbread) on cynogenmod, it's amazing. super fast excellent battery life.

Can I just go right ahead and say that my HD2 had 65% battery life left last Saturday night when Christ, Henry, Pat and I were at Old Chicago's, and Pat's Android phone and Christi's iPhone both had batteries that were nearly dead? :)

I can say that I like my phone, can use it without any difficulty, and have never had any problems with it besides. That's more than most people I know :p

That's because it has such a weak processor that it doesn't need much battery. :P Seriously though, battery life is about the last thing I'm concerned about when choosing a phone. Smartphones in general have pretty crappy battery life and need 2 charges a day if you use them a lot. I just keep a charger at work and one in the car and it doesn't matter.

Ok, hijack over, hope OP gets his issue figured out.

Battery life on my Evo was awful running the stock htc sense, all phones (including your windows phone) have programs and adware and shit that runs constantly. This is where rooting comes in, with cynogenmod I can get 2 days out of it with moderate use, and it's super fast. I only use a pc at work now.

The latest Windows Mobile is actually pretty cool, interface wise. I only messed with it for a short while at the Sprint store, but it's way better than the last version of WM. Not sure how extensive their market will be, and I'm sure being Windows, it won't be mod-friendly at all. But I thought it was pretty aight.

A friend of mine was running cyanogenmod on his Evo and hated it. It's just too bare. I actually like HTC Sense. I just don't want all the bloatware running in the background all the time. He's running Fresh ROM 2.3.3 and I think I'm going to finally quit putting it off and root my Evo and go with that ROM also.

Fresh is really good for a sense rom, I also like myn 2.2 more options to customize.

Really the only difference is the fancy clock widget and the friend stream, which interferes with facebook anyway.

I have downloaded "fancy widget" which looks a lot like the sense clock.
