Thats the vehicle I mod...I think the body, frame, differential gears and front axle housing are stock. I think the dash is, too, but I'm not sure. I've thought about trying it at an autocross, but I don't think it would place well.To all the "haters"
You're welcome, but (sorry!) I probably won't let you drive my car. You're welcome to ride in it, but my car has about 100-115 horsepower more than Lyssa's and something like double the torque. It's also my daily driver and I drive for work so I can't have it wrecked/blown up. A ride will give you an idea of how much of a difference a turbo and major suspension and chassis upgrades can make. Pics of my play car are attached.

I don't have time to read and comment everything but in my experience RX-8 on snow = bad. Lightweight. Not as much weight over the drive wheels. Dsc and traction control do not help. I drive with them off in the snow. But all my comment is attributed to me driving in the snow usually on summer rubber and they are usually bald. The one time I did get new all-seasons on the 8 it went pretty good through the snow and on icy hills. I should try out winter rubber sometime.
But my sisters mustang is a trooper through the snow and on all-seasons.

You know, on a couple of the other boards I've been on, the OT's sections just come with disclaimers about having "thick skin" and being largely unmoderated LOL. Just throwin' that out there.

Oh, if you look, there's actually a "thicker skin" skin for the forums. You can select it in the bottom left corner.

That's pretty much the entire forum over at Mazdaspeedforums.org lol. They love to flame over there. But if you can manage not to piss people off you can learn a hell of a lot. Best forum out there for DISI info.

Pogue is a pejorative military slang term used to describe non-infantry, staff, and other rear-echelon or support units. A related term is the acronym REMF, or "rear-echelon mother ****er". "Pogue" frequently describes those who don't have to undergo the stresses that the infantry does, and is generally used as a diminutive for any non-infantry personnel who disagrees or impedes the wants of a "grunt".
Pogs is a game that was popularized during the early 1990s. The word "pog" also refers to the discs used to play the game. The name originates from POG, a brand of juice made from passionfruit, orange and guava; the use of the POG bottle caps to play the game pre-dated the game's commercialization. The game of pogs possibly originated in Hawaii (Maui, Hawaii) in the 1920s or 1930s, or possibly with origins in a game from much earlier: Menko, a Japanese card game very similar to pogs, has been in existence since the 17th century.[4] Pogs returned to popularity when the World POG Federation and the Canada Games Company reintroduced them to the public in the 1990s. The pog fad soared, and peaked in the mid 1990s before rapidly fading out.
Know your terms there guy!

Damn right! LOL

Does this do anything other than change the skin cosmetically? And no that's not a pun haha.
On topic, I'm glad I don't read so much stuff anymore LOL. If you want to mod your car, go right ahead, no one is stopping you. All people here are doing is trying to offer advice (well, most people I guess haha) and help you not dig yourself in a hole. I guess that's what is going on anyway, I didn't read the original flaming and I only skimmed through this thread but that's what I picked up. Eh, no one cares what I have to say anyway so I'm just wasting finger power lol.
Bottom line though, like they said, growing a thicker skin will help haha.
