Since pretty much everyone is set on Saturday at 1pm. I will contact the bowling alley today and see what they can do for us.

Ok just got finished talking to the lady at Brunswick and here is where we stand with this... nothing is set in stone so if we decide to change plans thats fine, just need to know soon so I can let the lady know.

If we go on the Saturday we are looking at $24.99 per PERSON (yikes!) this does include 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and guaranteed lanes.
If we go on the Sunday after 4:30pm (which I know is hard for a lot of us) it goes down to $9.99 per person and includes the same thing. Also we could add $5 per person for pizza and soft drinks.

I think we should do the sunday of course because it is a LOT cheaper, but say your opinions and we will go from there.

this is the discount 24.99??!?!? ouch!! I am fine with bowling... but usually can only do 2-3 games. Depending one the number of persons who show up and how we divide up the lane(s) just a few games may take a hours...

That being said, I really think the after 4:30 is a better deal.... anyone else?

It doesn't seem like she gave us much of a discount at $24.99, but she is giving us a pretty good deal on the pizza and soft drinks.

I agree I can usually only do 2 or 3 games, specially if we have that big of a group. Most of us are going to be talking and such, so I'm thinking we will probably only get 2 games in a 2 hour time frame.

Also if anyone else has any other ideas for a birthday meet, I'm up for suggestions, bowling just seemed like a lot of fun and possibly cheap, but I guess I was wrong on the cheap part. lol

maybe call around and see if there are other lanes with better deals. i know the one
on university and county line. It isn't as nice as brunswick but they might have a better deal?
the pizza/soda was a good deal....tho

I know on the weekends they dim the lights and play music show videos while bowling...
What size group did you tell Brunswick ?

Sunday sounds great with me Trish if everyone else can make it. What a difference in price! And NO to the "convenient" Bowling alley by Guidos house...

Okay here is was I found. I called Arapaho Bowling, but they don't offer any discounts on group rates. So it's $4/game $3/shoe rental per person.

I called AMF Located on County line, they have openings on Jan 19th. For groups
of 10 or more they have the following deals:

$11.99/per person - 2hrs of bowling on 4 lanes and shoe rental
$14.99per person - adds nachos, popcorn, and soda(a few pictures)
$18.99/per person - adds 2 slices of pizza and soda(omits nachos/popcorn)
Note they were basing this on 20 people, so the number of lanes/pictures of pop
may change, the prices are for a group of 10 or more.

They also a beer and chow there. I have had burgers and nachos there and both are pretty good.

Let me know what you all think.

I haven't been to Arapahoe since they have re-modeled it, before they did that the lanes were HORRIBLE.. (sorry I'm kinda picky about my lanes. lol)

Arapahoe does seem to have the cheapest, cause I dont know how many have their own shoes (I do) but if you dont thats only going to be like 8 bucks total plus whatever we want to eat..
If you do need shoe rentals its 11 bucks plus food.. where AMF is 12 without any food... I dont know, you guys put up your suggestions and we go from there, I'm game for anything!

you are more than welcome to check out AMF ahead of time.
I didn't realize they were revamped, the lanes seemed fine to
me, but I am not a bowling expert (I don't have my own shoez)
The prices I quoted were for Saturday Jan 19th at 1:00pm.

what/where is the deal of 11/ plus food, I must have missed that?

discuss amongst yourselves and lets try to get a consensus.

Anyone try Monoco Lanes? I remember them being pretty cheap. And to be honest, if I have to pay $25.00 to go bowling, I'll have to cancel. That's just too high. My personal preference is 4:30 bowling.

I'm still in for wherever. Cost isn't a big deal, just set it up already!
