Still no MIL? Hope that thing is good-to-go. Are you registered for Sunday's auto-x?

no mil...After I drove it 60 miles without, I was sure you fixed...nice crimping!
Not registered for the AutoX. Have a home project to attend to and my wife and I are celebrating our 8th anniversarySaturday evening through Sunday in Denver.
Have fun. I would have liked to go to the air show and AutoX both, but perhaps the next auto x at PPIR.

Congrats on eight (wife and & hit 23, 5 days ago). Glad to hear the lamp is still out.

Tut came down yesterday and detailed my S2000. He went through a multi-stage process using Prima products.
First stage was a Dawn dish soap wash, which was done twice. The wash was followed by a good clay bar using Prima Slick diluted 50/50 with water to keep the clay moving. Once the clay bar was finished, he moved on to a spot treatment with Prima Cut with a yellow pad on the Porter Cable DA Polisher. After the Cut spot treatment, the car was washed with dawn again to remove the coarse cutting abrasives of any residual Cut left on the car. After drying the car (again), it was time to do the entire car with Prima Swirl on an orange polishing pad. This was the most time intensive step as each area of the car was wiped after being polished (2'x2' approximately). Once the Swirl step was finished, the car was again washed and subesquently dried. This step was folowed by Prima Finish on a white pad, washed, dried, then followed with Prima Amigo. Prima Amigo was followed by Prima Epic wax. He also used a wheel wax on the wheels. Like an ID10T, I didn't take before and after pictures, but it came out amazing!
Thanks tut, I'm sure you enjoyed dedicating the majority of your day (7:45 a-1:30p) to detailing my car!:D You have excellent detailling skills and a great eye for imperfection!
Thanks to miT/Huzer for the use of his PC DA polisher so that dualing polishers could be had.
Looking forward to my very own DA Polisher which should arrive early/middle of this week with an assortment of pads. I'm impressed with the Prima Products and have several of my own I need to acquire. Thus far, I only have Cut and Slick. Need to fill in with Swirl, Fisnish, Amigo and Banana Gloss (as opposed to Epic per Tut's rec.).

Noice! How much do you charge for import motorcycles, Nate? =)

(stumbles in) Such kind words Shadow...thanks. Though I must admit your comments are inaccurate. Let the record show that Shadow was very 'hands on' -- sometimes to my discomfort (recalls handsy). Seriously though, he had the car washed and ready when I arrived. He also did his research, even contacting Prima directly-- sourcing all the products he required ($).
Once there, I merely demonstrated how to use the polisher and without delay, he was off on his own. Each and every step was a team effort. Shadow is now a detailing expert. Any pics of the clean whip, before you dirty it? Unless you already dirtied it?? (glares)
Barn- I'm still honing my skills at two-wheeled devices. I made a mistake on the steel cow, which resulted in spraying polish all over it-- I'm still trying to get it off. I don't have any experience with bikes (other than my own) and was actually looking for someone to detail mine. I was thinking it takes some more finesse, knowledge, and smaller pads/applicators, etc. (?)
PS. Huzer's PC is better than mine, ARgh.

I agree. I think it's way more of a bitch to do bikes. I'm lucky I keep my chain lubed! =)

Ha ha, I'm actually vigilant about keeping lubed up...overly so to my downfall.
That said, I'm not opposed to hooking up and conducting some novice detailing on our rigs. Hit me up anytime... you know the digitz.
