BBQ in Castlewood Canyon State Park

Ok So I skimmed through all the pages and tried to grab as much of the info as possible. If any of this is wrong please correct my post.


WHAT: BBQ for CMZC members and their familes/friends
WHERE: Castlewood Canyon State Park
2989 S Highway 83
Franktown, CO 80116
WHEN: Saturday, May 31st @ 1pm
WHY: because its SUMMER!!!


$5 bucks to get in the gate, Springs Group: Goldrocket, "Let's have the springs group meet on the north end of town and take over hwy 83 on the way up there. Say in the parking lot of the PPCC north Rampart campus on hwy 83, 12:00 pm." We will be doing this for all the springs guys

Denver Group: Do we want to all group up together at the Chili’s at Lincoln and I-25 and cruise down to the park together? Or all go our separate ways??

AND ONE LAST THING, CAN THE PEOPLE LISTED BELOW UPDATE WITH APPROX HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING WITH YOU SO WE CAN GET A GOOD NUMBER FOR FOOD TOTALS!!!

What do we do once we get to the park? Is there a part of the park we're looking at meeting? Who will plant the Mazda Flag? LOL

well it looks like we will all be meeting at the vistor building and going from there. Do the denver and local people want to meet at the normal chilis meeting place at i25 and lincoln and go down together?




Also we have 1 real side dish and then 2 different things of salsa and dip with chips.
I'm thinking if we can get Johnny, Andrew and maybe one more person to chip in for the meat then have a couple people chip in for the buns.

We have Troy and his family bringing watermelon for "desert" if someone else wants to bring something else as well..
Shane has all the paper plates, forks and such covered.
So I'm thinking we need a couple more sides... something besides chips and salsa/dip and help with the meat and buns since those are the most expensive.

I may not be in the mazda... I am going to borrow my dads truck so I can get the grill and everything down there. It is NOT all going to fit in my car.
